The Galmington & Comeytrowe News was established in November 1968 and comprised one sheet of paper folded in half. The News was started by the vicar of St Michael’s at that time. The News has changed over the years; increased in size, and in colour for the first time last Christmas (2019).

As of 2024 the Galmington & Comeytrowe News is owned and operated by Pyrus Media (South West) Ltd; a non-profit company run entirely by volunteers to publish community newsletters.

The Galmington & Comeytrowe News is run entirely by volunteers for the benefit of the community.
